US Cellular email to text

The reported address for a US Cellular text message is the ten digit number followed by @email.uscc.net, and picture messages go to the number at mms.uscc.net. Neither address comes from the carrier: Marquette University's help page, read on 22 October 2026, lists the text address, and Seattle Colleges IT Services, read on 22 September 2026, lists the picture address. Our mail server lookup on 22 October 2026 found mail servers listed on both domains. T-Mobile closed its purchase of UScellular's wireless operations on 1 August 2025.

Build the UScellular email to text address

Reported by a third party, not confirmed by the carrier

Text: 5555550123@email.uscc.net
Picture or MMS: 5555550123@mms.uscc.net

reported by Marquette University, 22 September 2026, not confirmed by the carrier; MX record present

UScellular does not document an email to text address on its own site, and its support pages now carry T-Mobile branding. Marquette University reports number@email.uscc.net, and Seattle Colleges IT Services reports number@mms.uscc.net for pictures. The domain had mail servers on 22 September 2026; we did not test delivery.

Each address says where it comes from: the carrier's own page (checked 21 September 2026), or a third-party page and a mail server check (22 September 2026). The number you type stays on this page.

Does UScellular email to text still work?

No page read on 22 October 2026 answers that question directly. Neither UScellular nor T-Mobile documents an email to text address for UScellular numbers anywhere we read. The two addresses in circulation come from third parties: Marquette University lists number@email.uscc.net for U.S. Cellular text messages, and Seattle Colleges IT Services lists mms.uscc.net for picture messages. An address reported by a third party is not an address confirmed by the carrier.

Our mail server lookup on 22 October 2026 found four mail servers listed on email.uscc.net and the same four on mms.uscc.net, unchanged from 22 September 2026. A mail server record shows the domain accepts mail. It does not show that a text reaches the phone. We did not send a test message, so the lookup says nothing about delivery.

T-Mobile's own gateway domain is tmomail.net. T-Mobile's messaging troubleshooting page names it once, saying email sent to it must be plain text because HTML is not supported, and it states no address format. Vendor pages report that tmomail.net stopped working in late 2024. No page read says whether a UScellular number moved to T-Mobile's systems still uses email.uscc.net or has switched to tmomail.net.

A mail server record shows that a domain accepts email. It does not show that a text reaches the phone, and we did not send a test message. The uscc.net domains had the same four servers on 22 September 2026.

What changed when T-Mobile bought UScellular

T-Mobile closed its acquisition of UScellular's wireless operations on 1 August 2025, according to the T-Mobile newsroom. T-Mobile took the customers, most stores and some spectrum.

uscellular.com now redirects to t-mobile.com. Our check on 22 October 2026 found permanent redirects on the home page, the support page and the joining T-Mobile page.

T-Mobile's page for UScellular business customers, read on 22 October 2026, says the networks have been integrated and business accounts are moving to T-Mobile in phases, with more groups each week. Phone numbers for voice devices do not change in the move. Some devices need a new SIM or an eSIM accepted. The page also says UScellular Enterprise Messaging does not transfer automatically and has to be re-enrolled. The page does not mention email to text, so it settles nothing about either address.

Why an email to a UScellular phone may not arrive

In a Google Workspace Admin Community thread opened 28 June 2023, a business reported that its email to text messages to US Cellular customers were blocked or treated as spam, while the same messages to Verizon and AT&T numbers delivered. Setting up DKIM did not fix it. Google's product experts answered that it was not a Google Workspace issue and told the business to take it up with US Cellular.

One format rule is documented, and only for T-Mobile's own domain. T-Mobile's messaging troubleshooting page says email to tmomail.net must be plain text, because HTML is not supported. No equivalent rule is published for email.uscc.net or mms.uscc.net.

Texting UScellular customers from a business

AT&T shut its email to text gateway on 17 June 2025, and Verizon says it will shut its gateway down by 31 March 2027. Twilio's policy, enforced from 31 July 2024, prohibits using carrier email to SMS gateways for commercial use.

For a business, 7 business SMS providers document email to SMS on their own pages, and the parent page compares them with their US rates. The email to SMS gateway list carries every other carrier's address, and the business email to SMS providers section holds the provider comparison. The page on 10DLC registration covers registering a business number for texting. If you want the wider options, send texts from a computer covers them.
