American SMS providers offer cheaper rates for their SMS services, mainly if the volume of text messages purchased is high. In most cases, businesses must supply a database of clients, customers, consumers, or staff members, and the SMS company does the rest of the work. The whole process usually takes a few minutes, from initially notifying them to the final distribution of the message. It doesn’t matter if the database you provide is in hundreds or thousands of contacts. It is a very effective and efficient way to notify people promptly. Therefore, American companies now realise the huge potential and benefits of using a mass SMS service provider and the value associated with SMS marketing campaigns such as special deals or alerts.

You need to look for the features of SMS management, the type of gateway service used, what inbound system will be adopted, and whether the message will be converted from email or sent directly to the end user’s mobile phone. You must know that any destination number can be easily included and imported from Excel or similar software. Phone numbers can be exported from a program that can manage contacts, and this file can be uploaded easily and safely into a provider’s address book for actions such as promotions or a marketing campaign. The ability for names and other information to be merged and translated into simple text messages will mean you can personalise messages to improve customer relationships.

This is followed by ClickSend, Twilio, MessageBird, and Clickatell, all of which provide a sufficient range of prices for small, medium, and large businesses in America.
Businesses must also consider the extra services provided by SMS gateway providers and the additional costs that these can incur. An SMS provider not analyzed in this table but ranked as the top provider from an SMS bulk provider perspective is Messente, which promises no additional monthly fees or costs on top of the monthly pricing plans available.
Additional costs include SMS services such as virtual numbers, dedicated numbers, inbound text messages, or keyword responses.
These services can be beneficial for larger corporations. For example, the keyword response service is designed to send customized SMS replies or reminders based on the ‘body’ of the incoming text message.
Therefore, when a business receives an SMS to a mobile phone, the mobile application will fetch the body request of the text message. This will enable the application to match the content of the incoming text message with the keywords previously listed and send it as an automated reply.
Many cheap mass text message marketing services offer a free trial of their SMS features before engaging in their services. This enables American businesses to try all the services offered and learn how to send mass text messages to their audience’s mobile phones easily and effectively.
Once a business is happy with the mass texting service provider chosen, it can then choose a pricing plan that suits its needs based on the volume of texts to be sent and the number of features required. Many SMS providers offer free SMS credits as a bonus when larger volumes are purchased.
Most cheap mass texting service providers offer a range of pricing options, including pre-paid, pay-as-you-go, and post-paid options. Thus, American businesses can use their debit or credit card payments and choose from a range of plans with differing data rates.
Reliability is a critical factor that any business must consider when distributing cheap mass text messages. In many instances, the SMS provider will recommend cost-effective solutions to meet the business’s SMS marketing needs while monitoring the SMS market to offer low prices for SMS messages. Many SMS providers, such as Cellcast, offer a price match guarantee to ensure businesses are always receiving the lowest price.
The level of up-time can measure reliability and guarantee the SMS gateway provider claims. This Service Level Agreement (SLA) is often presented as a percentage, which dictates the availability of their services at any time. For example, a business that claims a 99.99% uptime SLA means that its services will be offline for only 0.01% of the time. This means that should there be any failure our outage that can cause failed SMS messages to be delivered, the provider will find an alternate solution as soon as possible.
The reliability of an SMS gateway is closely related to the level of customer service provided. Every mass text message provider analyzed within this website has excellent customer support services that are available during business hours if not 24/7. All cheap SMS providers also offer a 99.99% uptime guarantee; however, some services are more sufficient than others.

Our review found that the SMS providers had key strengths in their network services, as they are supported by leading American telecommunication providers, including Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and many more. These companies also utilize overseas carriers, depending on the level of service provided.
The privacy policy, security, and anti-spam compliance of the SMS provider also dictate reputation. All SMS providers are compliant with the laws and regulations of the United States surrounding mobile marketing and, therefore, show high standards.

We are a seasonal business in the USA and just need heavy texting 2 months in the summer, one month in the winter and one month in the fall. The rest of the year we need 100+ texts per month. Therefore we probably need a service that uses text as you go. Any ideas.
Hi there!
Thank you for your query. We would be happy to assist in recommending SMS providers with pay-as-you-go options. While there is a range of great options for businesses that are seasonal:
Notifyreoffers simple, pay-as-you-go SMS services with no setup fees or monthly contracts.
Twilio also provides easy and convenient pay-as-you-go SMS solutions to customers around the world.
MessageBird has no hidden costs and no set-up fees involved, granting you access to powerful text messaging tools on a flexible, pay-as-you-go basis.
Hope that helps!
I’m currently with Textedly which is great and cheap but without text as you go option. I can reach customer support very easily on Textedly too. I have not beev able to speak or chat with anyone at clicksend for a week no matter how much I try so I find it really strange and suspicious that you talk about their custoemr service. Are you paid by them?
Hello!
Textedly is one of our favorites as well! How strange with Clicksend, they are generally really quick to respond to queries… are you reaching out to them via the official website??
Sorry that you’ve had a tough time getting through to them.
Hi @Mocha, I’m the Head of Operations at ClickSend. We offer 24/7 customer support through email & online chat, as well as a Sales Team that can be booked through Calendly on our website. I’m concerned to hear you haven’t been able to get in touch with our teams, as that’s not what we hear from our customers. I would love to find out more about your experience – please feel free to email me at [email protected] so I can check this our for you. Julian Smith.
We tried setting up with clicksend because of their text as you go availibility which textedly doesn’t have. But we keep on glitching. Our rep let us know that these things happen. But with textedly they never happened. I am out! I experienced enough. Are there any other text as you go platforms? I have this noggling feeling that you have a stake in clicksend because of how you push them.
