Textedly review

Textedly is a subscription SMS service with monthly message credits. Its pricing page listed Basic at $29 for 500 credits on October 23, 2026, and higher plans sit above it. An $8 monthly telecom surcharge applies on top, per the Textedly telecom article, so Basic runs $37 per month before extras or tax. Annual billing adds 20 percent more messages each month rather than one pooled annual credit, so annual Basic carries 600 credits monthly.

Who should pick Textedly

Pick Textedly when you want keyword campaigns on a flat monthly plan. The pricing page states that every plan carries all features. The July 2025 pricing update lists extra keywords at $10, though the older cost help article still says $5 per month per keyword, and that conflict was unresolved on our read date. Annual billing suits steady senders, since annual Basic runs $348 upfront with 600 credits per month, per the July 2025 update. Our SMS keywords guide explains how keyword billing works.

Who should skip Textedly

Textedly does not suit a buyer who needs plan flexibility without forfeiting paid credits. The cost help article at how much Textedly costs, read October 23, 2026, states that changing plans starts the new plan immediately and that unused monthly credits from the previous plan are lost. The same article describes annual downgrades as possible within 30 days before renewal and cancellation within 14 days before renewal. Those windows are short and the article owns them, so confirm the terms that apply to your own account before an annual commitment, and treat this as a summary of the article rather than legal advice.

The same conflict appears on feature eligibility. The help article restricts stored payment features and text review requests to the Plus plan or higher, while the pricing page claims all features on every plan, both read October 23, 2026. The two official statements have not been reconciled, so confirm the plan that carries each feature you need before you sign up.

Textedly compared

Textedly is ranked against the rest of its category: where Textedly ranks among the best SMS marketing platforms in the USA.

How Textedly billing works

One SMS credit covers up to 160 standard characters, two credits up to 306 and three up to 459, per the credits and character limitations article. MMS messages up to 1,600 characters cost 4 credits each and are charged per recipient, so 100 individual recipients on one MMS campaign consume 400 credits, not 100. Inbound messages are free per the pricing page. Extra credit pricing conflicts across sources, with the July 2025 update saying $30 for 500 extra credits and the older help article saying $25, so confirm at checkout rather than trusting the lower figure. For broader market context, see our cheap mass texting providers page.

Textedly API access and integrations

Textedly publishes a v1 technical reference at the API technical docs, read October 23, 2026. The documented API supports sending SMS and MMS, listing inbound messages, message validation and inbound message webhooks. The default limit is 10 requests per second per key, and batch endpoints accept up to 1,000 messages per call. These figures are request and batch limits from the documentation, not measured delivery throughput, and no API call or installation was tested.

The technical reference restricts key generation and API use to paid plans, while free accounts can explore the documentation. The marketing page at the API overview instead says a free account generates a unique API key instantly, read the same date. The two official statements conflict, so confirm the eligible plan on your own account before you build against the API. Do not treat either statement as ruling the other out.

The API marketing page claims 99.9 percent reliability. That page supplies no contractual SLA terms and no measured uptime result behind the claim, so treat it as a vendor statement rather than a tested figure. A separate Zapier connection is documented at the Zapier help article, which describes App Tools activation with an API token and an example that posts new subscribers to Slack. The Zapier token is an API token for that integration and does not by itself establish direct API access on a free plan. You can compare capability and pricing across providers on our mass texting providers page.

Textedly questions

What does Textedly Basic cost per month?

Basic costs $29 for 500 monthly credits, plus an $8 monthly telecom surcharge, so $37 per month before extras and tax, per Textedly pricing and the telecom surcharge article, read October 23, 2026.

How many credits does an MMS use?

An MMS costs 4 credits per recipient and carries up to 1,600 characters, so 100 recipients use 400 credits, per the credits and character limits article, read October 23, 2026.

The statements conflict. The technical docs restrict keys and API use to paid plans, while the API overview says a free account generates a key. Confirm your plan before building.
