Peer-to-peer texting workflows compared
Peer-to-peer texting is a provider product and workflow label that does not describe one uniform sending mode. Our 3 October 2026 capture found published P2P workflows at 3 of the 45 scored providers: two describe a person sending each initial message, and one publishes a mixed mode. The other 42 were not assessed in this capture, which is not evidence of absence.

How the sending modes differ
Two of the three captured providers publish a person sending each first message, and the third publishes two modes. SimpleTexting states on its peer-to-peer page that a human sends each communication individually.
Text Request's playbook instructs a sender to text each contact one by one. CallHub's product page opens with an automatic broadcast of the first messages and agents handling replies, and its FAQ describes a manual agent queue.
Our explicit individual-send filter requires a positive human-send claim and no positive automated-first-send claim, which CallHub's mixed published modes do not meet. A P2P label alone does not tell you who sends the first text, so confirm the configuration before you buy.
Assign contacts and handle replies
SimpleTexting describes assigning contact lists to agents, single-click templates, agent-specific numbers, an inbox for incoming and outgoing SMS, and collaboration notes.
The CallHub P2P page publishes manager visibility, thread reassignment, agent queues, a shared reply pool, saved templates, reply escalation and a manager queue. The CallHub review covers the broader platform.
Text Request lists contact uploads, response handling and real-time campaign reporting, and its playbook names a VoteBuilder integration for creating P2P campaigns. Text Request's captured pages do not describe agent or contact assignment, so that workflow stays unknown. Campaign audience and vetting belong on the political text messaging guide.
Read P2P prices and separate fees
SimpleTexting quotes plans starting at $29 per month with three user seats on its peer-to-peer page, read 3 October 2026.
Its pricing page, read 3 October 2026, shows a default 500-credit breakdown with $29 credits, a $10 local number, a $4 one-time carrier registration charge and additional carrier fees. Additional teammates run $20 per user per month and additional numbers run $10 per number per month (same page, read 3 October 2026).
Treat the starting figure as a plan component, not a complete P2P month at your volume. The SimpleTexting review carries the sitewide score.
Text Request states a $49 one-time P2P setup with no contracts or monthly fees in its political playbook, read 3 October 2026. The same page, read 3 October 2026, prices text buckets starting at 5 cents per text. A standard account does not have P2P enabled, because P2P is a premium feature priced separately, and the Text Request review covers that standard product.
CallHub's pricing page, read 3 October 2026, lists P2P among Essential core channels, with standard US SMS at $0.019 per segment, inbound SMS free and up to 10 agents. It is a conditional US Essential SMS reference for an included channel, not a quoted P2P contract total, campaign price or month estimate, and CallHub's mixed modes need configuration confirmation.
Check registration and sender rules
A human first send is not a claim that registration disappears. SimpleTexting's pricing page displays carrier registration and links 10DLC guidance.
Text Request's product page states that the provider handles interactions with The Campaign Registry. Its playbook, checked 3 October 2026, quotes $95 for Campaign Verify per campaign and notes additional mobile-carrier fees. That $95 is Text Request's own fee statement, not a new registry verification and not proof of the carrier fee schedule.
CallHub's P2P page links its 10DLC registration service. The 10DLC registration guide sets out the steps, and the SMS opt-in and SMS compliance guides cover consent and opt-out.
FCC public notice DA 26-940, released 4 September 2026, seeks comment on Joe Shields' petition. The petition asks whether a P2P system using a human only to click send for thousands of texts per hour is an autodialer under the TCPA. The notice is a comment request, not a new ruling or an exemption, and it decides nothing today.
Compare the next workflow
Before you select a product, confirm four things:
- The sending mode, individual or mixed.
- The price basis at your seat count and volume.
- The registration path for your campaign type and number type.
- Reply handling and agent assignment, plus any product features the captured pages leave unknown.

Peer-to-peer texting questions
What does peer-to-peer texting mean?
Peer-to-peer texting is a label for person-to-person messaging products, and it spans more than one sending mode. Two of the three captured providers describe manual first sends, and the third publishes a mixed mode.
Which providers describe individual sending?
SimpleTexting and Text Request describe individual sending, meaning a human sends each first message with no automated first send claimed. CallHub's mixed published modes do not match the individual-send filter.
How is P2P texting priced?
P2P texting is priced provider by provider. SimpleTexting quotes a $29 per month starting plan component with three users on its peer-to-peer page, read 3 October 2026, and additional numbers, carrier and registration fees are separate. Text Request states a $49 one-time P2P setup and text buckets from 5 cents per text outside standard plans (playbook, read 3 October 2026). CallHub's pricing page, read 3 October 2026, shows a conditional US Essential reference of $0.019 per SMS segment, with P2P among core channels, not a quoted P2P contract total.
Does P2P remove registration requirements?
No. P2P does not remove registration requirements in this capture. All three providers publish registration steps or links: SimpleTexting shows carrier registration, Text Request describes Campaign Verify steps, and CallHub links a 10DLC registration service.
