Plans, trials and features read from each platform's own US pages on 9 September 2026. The smallest plan is the cheapest published monthly plan on monthly billing; number rental, carrier fees and telecom surcharges are added in the cost calculator below, not here.
TrueDialog and Community sell campaign sending too, but their own pages frame it as part of a messaging or conversations product, so they are reviewed and not ranked here. See every provider we score.
Every platform here sells a monthly plan. Services that charge pay as you go, per message with no plan, are priced beside these plans at the same volume in the mass texting services comparison.
What SMS marketing costs at your volume
Each platform's cheapest published way to send your monthly volume on monthly billing, with the sending number, any telecom fee and any per message carrier fee it publishes added in.

| Trumpia | Lite 1,000 plan $49 | $49 |

| Textedly | Bronze plan, 1,000 credits $49 + Monthly telecom fee $8 | $57 |
| YepText | The Standard plan, 1,500 credits $59 | $59 |
Not priced at this volume: Omnisend, Emotive, Klaviyo, Attentive, Sendlane. Monthly billing, one SMS segment of 160 characters per credit. Picture messages use 3 credits each on the platforms that publish a rule for them, so price them as 3 messages. Figures read from each platform's own US pricing pages on 9 September 2026.
Why some platforms are not priced
- Omnisend: Its $59 Pro price is a starting price that rises with contact count, so no monthly cost holds without knowing your list size.
- Emotive: Its plan band is set by list size rather than messages sent, and its number fee is published as a range of $40 to $90 a month.
- Klaviyo: Its per message rates are shown only inside an account; the one public price is a calculator default of $15 for 1,000 messages.
- Attentive: It publishes no plan price or message rate; pricing is by quote.
- Sendlane: SMS is an add on to an email plan from $100 a month, and the SMS add on carries no published price.
- A platform whose published plans stop below the volume you enter drops out of the table above at that volume, because what it charges beyond its largest plan is by quote.

What is an SMS marketing platform?
An SMS marketing platform is a service for sending marketing campaigns to subscribers who have opted in to receive them. Most platforms here sell monthly plans that bundle message credits, and SlickText's pricing page, read on 9 September 2026, defines a credit as one SMS segment of 160 characters to one subscriber. The cost of a plan follows the number of message credits your campaigns consume each month. For the wider picture, read our guide to what SMS marketing is, then use the five steps below.
How to choose an SMS marketing platform
Price your monthly credit volume
Start with your own numbers rather than the plan tables. Multiply your subscriber count by the campaigns you send each month, then add picture messages at 3 credits each, since MMS consumes credits faster than plain text. SlickText and SimpleTexting list MMS at 3 credits and charge $29 a month for 500 credits, per pricing pages read on 9 September 2026.
Choose your number type
Match your sending number to your budget. At SlickText, a 10DLC number costs $10 a month, per its help center read on 9 September 2026. A random short code runs $500 a month and a vanity one $1,000, per SlickText's short code page read on 9 September 2026. These are SlickText's figures rather than market averages. The Campaign Registry says a brand cannot register directly and works through a registered messaging provider.
Get consent and honor opt-outs
Collect written consent before any commercial text leaves your account. The FCC consumer guide Stop Unwanted Robocalls and Texts, last reviewed 27 February 2026, states that commercial texts require written consent and that informational texts accept oral consent. Honor every opt-out, because the guide says a person may opt out at any time and in any reasonable manner, even after consent.
Check the integrations you need
Confirm that a platform connects to your store or CRM before you commit. Klaviyo, Omnisend and Postscript are built around online stores, per their own pages read on 9 September 2026. Postscript and Omnisend price SMS per message on top of a plan, per pricing pages read on 9 September 2026. Across the 12 platforms here, 11 publish integrations with an online store platform, from provider pages read on 9 September 2026.
Try before the annual plan
Use a free trial before you pay for a year. Of the 12 platforms here, 8 publish a free trial or a free plan that sends SMS, from provider pages read on 9 September 2026. A trial shows how fast credits burn and which tools you will use every week, without an annual commitment.
The rules for SMS marketing
The FCC consumer guide Stop Unwanted Robocalls and Texts, last reviewed 27 February 2026, states that FCC rules ban autodialed texts to a mobile phone unless the owner previously consented or the message serves an emergency purpose. Commercial texts require written consent under the guide, and informational texts accept oral consent.
The guide states that a person may opt out of any robocall or robotext at any time and in any reasonable manner, even after consent. FCC rules apply even to numbers not on the National Do Not Call Registry, the guide adds.
The FCC rule at 47 CFR 64.1200(c)(1) bars telephone solicitations to residential subscribers before 8 a.m. or after 9 p.m., local time at the called party's location.
All 12 platforms publish scheduled sending.
According to The Campaign Registry, read 19 September 2026 at campaignregistry.com, 10DLC is an A2P channel where brands and campaign service providers are verified before being allowed to send. The registry says brands cannot register directly and work through a registered messaging provider.
How we ranked the platforms
The ranking uses each provider's overall score out of 10, the equal-weighted average of six criteria, namely value for money, features, reliability, reputation, compliance and customer service. Those same six apply to every provider on the site.
This site does not open accounts and does not send test traffic.
We read prices, plans, trials and features from each provider's own published US pages through a United States proxy on 9 September 2026. A second reader then re-checked each figure, with the job of refuting it.
Some providers pay us a commission when a reader signs up through a link. The order comes from the six criteria and nothing else, and the method is at how we rate SMS providers, with the disclosure on the about us page.
